I have enjoyed the various discussion threads on Odin cables. Sometimes a bit detached, but each message carried a different perspective.
Despite using a strong name brand USB cable I aways felt full sound data was not passing between the my computer music server and the digital to analog converter in my main system. I was on the hunt for a different cable.
Fellow inmate on the Cable Asylum el34eh@yahoo.com wrote, "After owning 24 different USB cables since 2015 this was the first in which I felt played my music correctly." This is a strong recommendation and for $50 I placed an order through the Getwire store on Aliexpress.
Promptly for the distance, three weeks later a padded envelope arrived. The cable was well made and played without any problem. Break was fairly linear. With as little as 10 hours there was a strong hint of musicality to come. Around 80 hours there was a bit of a dull patch on the high end. At around 125 to 150 hours the cable arrived at full performance.
To describe the sound, it is a rich, full bodied presentation - lush in detail and not edgy. The cable delivers the full boat with all hands on deck.
Interesting, the breathy recording of Diana Krall on "Turn Up the Quiet" has lost nearly all of its vocal sibilance. The Odin Gold USB cable is a gem.
