MPRESSIONS

Ordered the cord on 9/20 and it arrived 11/1 - 11 days not bad. Cold out of the bag attached to the Conrad Johnson CA200 integrated

The thickest power cord I have more so than the 10 AWG it replaced and a 7 AWG as well
Might be slightly louder
Tonal balance is tipped up a bit with a slightly anemic bass
Very clear with excellent decay
Background is quite black
Soundstage seems more shallow with instruments more in the speaker plane

After some playing time

Macro-dynamics are improving
More full-bodied harmonics
Bit more 3-D but still on the shallow side
Well centered soundstage
Complex soundscapes are well delineated - you can hear it in massed voices which do not sound so homogenized


After more playing time

Tonal balance seems more even
Soundstage is still farther away and more shallow than the Acrolink 6N P4030/Oyaide 046 I'd had on the CJ
Very clear and detailed

Interim conclusion
It's still breaking in. Initially I thought it had a tipped-up tonal balance but that has evened out. The sound stage was farther back and shallow to begin with. Still a little farther back than the Acrolink 6N but not nearly as shallow as it was. The bones are getting some meat on them. It is quite good, very good actually, with detail and the decay is excellent. It may seem like damning it with faint praise to say it's really good for the money but it's beginning to shape up pretty good, period.

It's also the thickest power cord I ever had and not super flexible but sheesh, it is shaping up to be darn good. $67 all-in.
