Hi all,
While I'm aware some of you've purchased the Chinese Valhalla 2 SCs and enjoy them | and seeming as I've some on the way, as I was confessed by several owners which I've know for years, they should be seen as a worthwhile purchase..., I've said why not!.
Yet returning time and time again to the Kudos Audio KS1 SCs ( silver plated copper ) has in fact once again proven to me there are times where higher cost purchases aren't needed..., as this cable was primarily intended to be used with my Naim Audio SuperNait 3, after having done many sleepless nights of researching them, I went all in, and glad I did, having owned several brands of SCs, which shall remain nameless | where they costed $1.600 and $2.750 for 12' pairs, each made from pure copper conductors, all I can say to myself, as well as to my beloved wife Michelle | is upon trying these SCs in tandem of late placed onto my Pathos Acoustic Classic Model One MK ll, the outcome was even more reassuring, as the added sense of fidelity with layering removed from each note caught me by surprise, yet in hindsight shouldn't have..., but what also impressed me was its sense of added refinement along with dynamic flow, which came across effortlessly as a buddy of mine " M " wrote me after buying a pair for himself. There's a sense of agility here that I've never experienced with much costlier SCs, it's as if Audience were onto something long ago, with their use of smaller gauged cables after all, whom would've thunk it?, but once again as the saying goes " hearing is believing " and now that I know better | there's no going back, nor one second of regret.
In my mind, while I'm aware some are against silver plated copper anything cable wise, I can say I beg to differ, as my ears ( senses | heart | emotional response ) tells me, if done correctly with just the right amount of plating added to the runs of copper underneath is of say 20-30 microns, then we're talking about a much more balanced purer presentation all together, I'd think it a disservice to all of you looking for said sense of beauty | delicacy of note, if I didn't once again stress the importance of at the very least sampling these cables within your own home, or more importantly your system, here I'm talking about a 4M length pair which goes for less than $400, whereas it goes without saying those of you whom use shorter runs, should be more than happy once heard | felt, might I add this along with those Chinese Odin 2 Silver | Odin Gold cabling looms have taken my system to levels I never thought were remotely possible | so much so, I've stopped reading about different brands regardless of price.
All this to say..., if nothing else, I'd ask each of you to sample these cables, as I'm quite certain the overall results will surprise you more than you'd have ever known, should you think you're enjoying your current SCs now, as the old adage goes " you snooze | you lose ". Trust me on this one fellas, and above all, by all means thank me later.
The truth is out there..., a saying from the X-Files series, I've never forgotten | and now knowing said truth | I couldn't be happier.
