No, these are not real Hexlinks, and sell for a small fraction of the original. When I first placed them in my system, they were soft, smooth and a bit closed in. Their character didn't change much over the first 100 hours, but open up they did.
At 150 hours, the top end emerged transparently (not bright or fatiguing, but not as warm and refined as the original). At just over 200 hours it has slightly relaxed.
The midrange remains warm and smooth, and the bass is reasonably full and resolved, both without any real signs of lacking transparency.
So far, not bad for a silly cheap interconnect that appears to be well made.
