I second the VH Audio recommendation.
I spent a lot of time trying different cable for DIY interconnects and once I tried the VH Audio Pulsar cable my search was over. It is way better than anything else I had tried and is what I now use exclusively.
Chris, the owner, is also a great guy to do business with. He has a wealth of knowledge about DIY cables.
