many opinions over the years plastered all over. Before you DIY and spend a bunch of time obsessing and maybe deciding you wasted a bunch of time on that, keep in mind a few things I have found over the years
I've always ended up using the Kimber 4TC for my Quads and been satisfied with them until recently after redoing my basement and system setup (flood) and trying a pair of Morrow after listening to everything like before. I've had them leftover for whatever reason and on a whim hooked them in. Both cables are Teflon insulated but construction is much different and the Morrow's need careful handling, as in hook them in and don't touch or move them much. The diff?
Both sound very nice (or good, great whatever) but there is a noticeable increase in the tippy top end (high in frequency 16khz but not the so called etching). It was just a simple small increase in the tiny details. They are now in place (I don't need fire hose cables for my purposes)
Was it Earth shaking? No, that's for people who maybe want to hear that and I'm not sure why because I'm no psychologist and can't give a rational explanation to obsessions that might need medications.
I see that the cables you already have are already 'Audiophile Correct' so for the hell of it, go down to a hardware store and buy some simple 16-18 gauge copper wire in bulk, strip the ends, and try them and see if you can hear any noticeable difference. Then take it from there.
