it is true that they tend to use the word "copper" for brass, especially some low end vendors
but there are some good honest vendors as well who sell quality stuff and have a good customer oriented attitude. Reading a lot of reviews really helps. Avoid any device who has no reviews or only a couple.
About binding posts and stuff, there are customers who test the metal after purchase, so if something is advertised pure copper and isn't, it will be written there in the reviews, pretty quickly!
I personally never had a bad experience purchasing that kind of stuff from AliExpress.
