Re: One step further - one less connector

I agree with Norm.

Keep the leads clean and you're good to go. I don't dis/connect my speakers very often, so convenience is not an issue. Take the money you'd spend on spades and get better wire - or buy more music!!

I plan on doing exactly what Norm described with my 2 mono amp kits: I'll use 12 gauge solid Romex from the PCB, route it outside the cabinet through a grommet, and clamp it down surrounded by the bare leads of my CAT5 braided speaker cables, taking the the connection right out of the signal path. Also, my RCA input cables will be captive to the PCB also.
