In a two wire solid core design where one wire is bigger (like say Type 4) the fat wire gets the pressure of the binding post while the skinny wire gets almost or none. Twisting the two wires can help. Otherwise, its a good way to go, one of the reasons i use cheap wire is instead of cleaning i just snip off the exposed wire and reinsert.Peace outta Croatia!
