Interesting Speaker Wire Configuration Question.

I have a pair of Ecosse Bi-wire speaker cables. The LF is multistranded and the HF is Solid Core.
I just purchased a new amp that only has a single shot of binding posts. My speakers are bi-wireable.
Is there an problem with coverting the 4 ends on the amp side to just 2 spade termination (1+ and 1-), leaving the speaker end as 4 bannana's wven though their will me a mix of multistranded and solid core?
