If done correctly the termination is easy ....the carbon fibre doesn't carry the signal as far as I can see from their web site. So if you strip this back from the solder area this should not be a problem....

Having had chance to listen to a set ....inital impressions are rather good, but with the caveat they do something nasty to the vocals almost like a distortion on the trailing edge ....once heard you...[I] could not live with these. This is not the first time I've heard this effect on van de hul cables using carbon fibre...I must assume that this is the cause. Shame really as they do everything else rather well.
