The closest "metal to metal" comparison I've done is with PS Audio Reference vs. Transcendent ICs. They are the same except for the wire itself. I found the silver Transcendent to have better low level resolution and a smoother upper midrange/low treble (or not as bright or forward, depending on your point of view).Happy listening.
