I think the optimal Cooker time for the Shunyata Pythons and Anacondas is 2.5-3 days. You can do it for up to 4 days, but be warned that, initially, the sound will be overly warm and upper-bass-heavy.The Anaconda Helix Alpha has an even bigger midbass than the Python Helix. In most high-end audio systems (which tend to have too much bass), the Python Helix is often the better match than the more expensive Anacondas.
We don't know what cables can do, until they are properly Cooked. Now that my colleagues and I have used a Cable Cooker for a few year, we (a) wish we had one years ago, and (b) shake our heads at those who do not borrow/acquire one. Depending on cable type, you only need 2-4 days on the Cooker. Why suffer weeks of waiting for your Python to settle down, when you can just stick it on the Cable Cooker for 3 days, and be done with it?
