... has anyone tried making ICs with the stuff?

I might try braiding together 3 twisted pairs per channel.
Ãœber cheap, and given their rep for mains use, might be interesting to see how this setup fairs.

Unless I get half a dozen responses yelling "DON'T DO IT!", I'll give it a whirl and report back.
