I didn't go into a formal review of the cables except on comparitive terms as when you put them into super-premium class it speaks for itself. Neutrality ,balance, resolution, transparency, naturalness and 3-D imaging are what you would expect and get at this level. The Model 1 delivers at this level, the Model X simply does it better but it is an essentialy familiar presentation due to its neutrality.Many other 'premium ' priced cables simply don't deliver at this level, there are often colourations which give it a particular sound , not a get-out-of-the-way presentation. The Indras and Valhallas obviously don't contribute in this respect, its just a matter of how well the above is done. I didn't realize the Model X's were priced quite as high as you say, as I said there is no dealer here in Australia ( which also means you purchase on faith as I did ). Still, you can still save thousands on super-premium cables and get close to the absolute best. The Model 1's will beat most cables in between, based on mine and others experience i.e. if the above criteria are what matters, and do it at a level nearly everyone can afford ( i.e. who are chasing true high-end performance ). They are a no-brainer unless you are trying to balance a system with colouration.
