The Furman PST-8 digital isn't too shabby. I only have initial impressions.1) The sense of air and space was immediately better with the source componenents going through it.
2) The amplifier does not like being plugged into it. It squelched the soundstage. No contest. The amplifier stays plugged into the wall.
3) The bass has really improved. SPL is essentially the same as before across the range within my margin of error. I had to measure of course. It's just the perception that changed.
4) The highs seem more extended now.
5) I noticed somebody huffing near the end of Dire Straits "Private Investigations". That was a first for me.
6) The TV picture actually improved.For $130, I am so far rather pleased. I may actually borrow a scope from work and measure the noise with and without my dimmer switch going. I will have to reinstall the dimmer however. :)
