but unfortunately not quite so true. The so called 6N copper is provided as vacuum sealed copper ingots, usually sourced from Nippon Mining (Acrotec). Once the wire is pulled into it's final gauge, by going through many dies and being mechanically pulled and lubricated, the chances of it retaining it's 6N purity is virtually nil.
If you order spools of wire 100+ feet minimum, you can order Kimber wire in any color you want. I've done that, starting from about 5 or 6 years ago, and that is what I base my observations on.Stu
