I grant you that... would still retain the supposed "sterling" plating aspect of the +/- (solid) conductors, though seems a tad more susceptible to externally induced noise, which a partial star-quad would help to negate anyway - in addition to the usual positive attributes of a balanced configuration. Hmmm.
