Yes, lower is better. But consider that 20amp in wall electrical runs are 12ga and going with anything bigger than that is a waste. On top of that your amp probably has a massive power supply which also has massive filtering. The cable needs to give it what it can but it doesn't have to be bigger than that.

And looking at what EL34 just posted from AliExpress, that's probably a good bet as it doesn't break the bank.
